Cox Automotive knew the solution had to be more than just a listings platform—it needed to educate and simplify the EV buying experience.
Role & Responsibilities
As the sole UX/UI Designer, I led the design development of a seamless, user-centric platform, designing Ride by KBB with new features such as an AI-powered Car Quiz to personalize recommendations.
I also focused on creating an intuitive e-Mobility Marketplace, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity, while conducting design sprints to understand user needs.
Tasks
Throughout the length of the project I optimized the interface, based on user feedback integrating educational content that demystified EV technology, helping users make confident decisions. My role extended to creating inclusive user journeys that catered to diverse demographics, with clear filters and comparison tools that made the experience as smooth as possible.
Results
By ensuring the platform was frictionless and user-friendly, the team was able to shift the way people interacted with electric vehicles and learnd new transportation options such as e-bikes, scooters and rideshare.
Impact
In its first year, Ride by KBB helped over 500,000 users find the right electric vehicle and secure $1 million in funding, with $2 million projected in sponsorship revenue. Electric mobility was no longer intimidating—it became accessible, approachable, and exciting for all.
